The New Jersey Renaissance Faire proudly celebrates its 10th glorious season this year. Every summer, the grounds of Liberty Lake, located in Bordentown, NJ, are transformed into the magical fantasy world of Crossford.

Guests of all ages enter through the castle gates and are swept away by the engaging interactive cast, endless entertainment and delicious fare. During its 10 years, the nationally renowned family-friendly festival has entertained tens of thousands of guests, with story lines ranging from Robin Hood, King Arthur, William Wallace, Macbeth and Grace O’Malley.

This season, the great Queen Elizabeth I is at a dramatic crossroads that will determine the future of her kingdom and her life. Caught between a vast array of suitors, Elizabeth must make a choice. Shall she marry for political alliance but weaken her own sovereignty in the process? Shall she marry for love and become the scorn of the courts of Europe? Or, shall she remain unmarried and alone, as the most powerful woman in the Western Renaissance world? Guests will watch the drama live, in real time, each day at the NJ Renaissance Faire.

The story unfolds each morning beginning at 11am, continuing through Joust contests, a Human Chess match, and 7 action-packed hours of interactive entertainment. With sword fighting, fire-breathing daredevils, soaring aerialists, comedic acts and lively musical performances, there is something for everyone.

Special attractions include: Scottish Highland Games (May 18-19); the incomparable aerialist Shelli Buttons; musical maestros the Righteous Blackguards (May 18-19); the dapper Jacques ze Whipper; the charming William Shakespeare himself; and the wildly entertaining swashbuckling Lords of Adventure.

In addition to the entertainment, the NJ Renaissance Faire features a wide variety of gourmet food (including the ever popular “dragon legs”), along with local craft beers and Valenzano Wines at the South Jersey Celtic Society Meade Garden. There is also extensive shopping in the eclectic Merchant Village of 60+ fine artisans, including historical glass blowing, blacksmith forge, and other fine crafts, trinkets, and handmade period clothing.

Guests can let their Game of Thrones house flag fly, while releasing their inner-child in a welcoming world of imagination!
