The Candy box is a family run country candy store in Richwood NJ. We sell all types of chocolates (regular as well as Sugar Free) and other types of candies. Most of their chocolate is handmade.

The Black River Candy Shoppe presents an Olde Fashioned ambiance with antiques and memorabilia adorning the walls with bulk candy displayed in authentic old oak whiskey barrels. Old fashioned candy shoppe featuring over 900 candies in a nostalgic setting.

Accessible from the boardwalk and inside of the casino, Sugar Factory’s 1,500-square-foot confectionar features the signature floor-to-ceiling candy wall with more than 500 types of candy including a selection of novelty and bulk candy like the world-famous Couture Pops.

Shriver’s is the oldest business on the boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey. In 1898 William Shriver founded Shriver’s as a restaurant, ice cream, and candy store. In 1959, Shriver’s was purchased by four brothers who owned Dairy Maid Confectionery Company; a retail candy and ice cream shop chain throughout Philadelphia. Today, it is owned and operated, three generations later, by the same family. The legacy of Shriver’s famous Salt Water Taffy, Fudge, and other fine confections still remains, over 100 years later. No one else on the Ocean City Boardwalk can boast the rare combination of a factory and retail store where you can come and see our delicious Salt Water Taffy and other confections being made.

All of their candy is made the old fashioned way. The candy centers are made with the finest ingredients and are cooked in copper kettles over opened flamed stoves all while being hand mixed. Then the centers are all hand dipped in the highest grade of either milk, dark, or white chocolate.

It's no secret that Fralinger's is the brand that popularized salt water taffy for good. Joseph Fralinger took over a concession stand on Applegate Pier in Atlantic City around 1884, which is when he begun to perfect his very own taffy recipe. After toying around with a few flavors, he eventually had the most to offer with 25 different varieties. As far as salt water taffy on the Jersey Shore goes, the rest is history.
