Avalon features a unique shopping district along Dune Drive, with stores featuring designer clothing and footwear, home decor, beach gear, ice cream, casual and fine dining restaurants, bars, nightclubs, mini golf and more. From sunrise to sunset, you can make yourself as busy or relaxed as you want to be!
Lavallette is located on a barrier island with the Atlantic Ocean on the east and Barnegat Bay on the west side. Bask in the sun on our pristine beach, walk the boardwalk, sit in the pavilions to enjoy the view and ocean breezes. Surf fish or surfboard in the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
Ocean City Beach
New Jersey's crown jewel remains its 130 miles of coastline, spanning from Sandy Hook to Cape May. Our unmatched beaches boast beautiful barrier islands and bays dotted with majestic lighthouses, fishing villages and scenic views.
Ocean Grove Beach
If you are looking for pristine, quiet beaches to relax, revitalize, or frolic in the sun with friends and family, Ocean Grove is for you. The chance to just lie in the sun, get some summer reading done, or watch the kids play in the surf is great release from the stress of everyday life. A nice walk or jog on the beach as the sun comes up over the Atlantic isn't bad, either. Plus, dogs are allowed (on a leash) during the off-season, October 1st through May 1st. Summers are also filled with fun beach activities such as a sandcastle contest, boogey board and inner tube races, kite flying contest, volleyball games, Lifeguard competitions and much more!
Spring Lake Beach
With the intracoastal Waterway to the west and the Atlantic Ocean to the east, beach lovers, sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike, will fi nd plenty to see and do. Spend time on the water exploring our marshes and basins; stroll along ourshoreline or take a walk through the bird sanctuary - Seven Mile Island is one big playground.
From Barnegat Light, where the beaches are peaceful and wide, and the landscape is covered with scrubby pines, beach plum, and bayberry plants, to Holgate’s fluffy sandy beaches and inviting dunes. In between, you will find the day-tripper’s beaches of choice in Surf City, Ship Bottom, and Long Beach Township because of their ease of access from the bridge.
Cape May Beach
Cape May has some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. From Higbee Beach to Poverty Beach, Cape May is a beach-lovers’ paradise.
Belmar strives to offer the cleanest and healthiest beach environment for our residents and visitors. Our 7th Avenue Beach was ranked the highest in New Jersey in the “Testing the Waters” Report done by the Natural Resources Defense Council. Our beach staff cleans and grooms the beaches every morning, and we strictly enforce restrictions that prohibit smoking on the beaches and boardwalk.
The Wildwoods' free beaches offer plenty of room for a variety of summertime activities — everything from surfing to boogie-boarding to body surfing to tossing a Frisbee to reading in the shade. There's even a dog beach for your furry friends!
Bradley Beach is a quiet Shore retreat, but when Lobsterfest rolls into town each year for one summer weekend, the boardwalk booms. The 2014 event attracted some 30,000 attendees, nearly nine times Bradley’s year-round population, which hovers around 4,300.
Asbury Park Beach
Asbury Park is a great place to shop, dine, go to the theatre, stroll the boardwalk or enjoy the beach and surf.
Manasquan has one mile of sandy beaches located between the Manasquan inlet to the south and Sea Girt to the North. Each lifeguard stand uses a flag system designating swimming, and surf boarding areas. In addition there is a fishing area along the Inlet walkway. The blacktop walk way spans 8/10’s of a mile.
Long Branch Beach
Long a popular spot for surf, sun and shore fun, the town, with its cutting-edge residential beachside condos, premier shops and restaurants at Pier Village, has created a buzz all along the northern shore.
Point Pleasant Beach
For family-friendly beachside fun, it’s hard to beat Point Pleasant Beach. The expansive beach is kept crystal clean and the Boardwalk is great for kids (of any age) with dozens of rides along with games of chance, some of the most competitive miniature golf at the beach and Jenkinson’s Aquarium.
Sandy Hook Beach
The seven-mile stretch of spectacular ocean and bay beaches are excellent for surf casting, swimming, and relaxing on the sand. Nature lovers will revel in the 300 – plus species of migratory birds, as well as the pristine holly forest.
Sea Girt Beach
The Borough of Sea Girt’s beaches and boardwalk are open on a year-round basis. During the summer season we invite you to swim and sun on our clean, safe, sandy white beaches and take a stroll on our beautifully landscaped boardwalk that is pleasantly reminiscent of an earlier time. The boardwalk offers an incredible panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean that starts at the Historic Sea Girt Lighthouse and runs to the southern end of our charmingly inviting town.
Seaside Heights Beach
Seaside Heights packs lots of action into its 16-by-4-block beachside area, pulling in crowds with its whirl of fast-paced activity.
